Lavish Hotels in Mussoorie Make the Holiday Cozier

Travel & Tourism

Mussoorie Hotels – Fortune Resort Grace, Musoorie

One of the most visited hill-stations in India, Mussoorie is known as the Queen of the Hills. Located just a short drive of around 35 kilometers from the capital Dehradun, it is loved by locals as well as foreign tourists alike. Traditional ways to reach Mussoorie have been driving down on your own from Dehradun or just catching a train from the station. It will be a delight to travel up the hills and witness the scenic mountains.

A good spot to start your sightseeing in Mussoorie is Happy Valley. This area is mostly populated by refuges from Tibet and showcases some beautiful Buddhist temples and residential structures. Here you will find schools, restaurants with the best Tibetan food and shops where you can buy memorabilia. Just take a west from Mussoorie and drive for a couple of kilometers after Mall Road and you shall reach Happy Valley. The Tibetans are friendly here and would enlighten you with many of their stories if you and your friends try to engage them. If you are likely you may even sight the mischievous Langur monkeys here! The next destination on your itinerary ought to be the unbelievably enthralling Kempty Falls. The falls are located around 15 kilometers from the hill-station. Kempty Falls is surrounded by a mountain range ranging up to an impressive height of 4500 feet. You can have a fun picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the waterfall. The name is possibly derived from camp-tea as the British colonials used to use the area to organise tea parties. With a fishing permit in your pocket, you can even fish for some trout as the fish lives abundantly here. Avoid the falls during the monsoons and look for accommodation options for a complete experience and not just a quick trip.

The good news is that the lavish hotels in Mussoorie will always be just a short drive away. These comfortable hotels make it easy for you to relax after a long day of sightseeing and adventure. With internet facilities, impeccable room service and the best food to offer, these hotels really are worth the money. Once you are done resting, head to the Jawahar Aquarium on Mall Road for an insight into the beautiful world of aquatic life. With attractions like the Red Piranha and the Tiger Horse Fish, the aquarium has fast become one of Mussoories great crowd-pullers. End your trip with a fruitful visit to the famous Bhatta Falls. You can reach the destination by driving just about 7 kilometers on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road. The name comes from the village the falls are situated in i.e. Bhatta Village. With many small ponds and lakes to take a dip in with your friends, Bhatta Falls indeed is a great picnic spot. The hotels at Mussoorie would deliver well and ensure you have a great night of rest and fun with your friends in the alluringly cold and cozy climate.
