Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts work to be a pivotal part of the community through giving back and outreach programs. With all-inclusive resorts in Spain, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, Bahia Principe is involved in many programs all over the world. Each year, Bahia Principe participates in events to assist the communities and environments in which they are a part of. This year, Bahia Principe became the food supplier of 2014 to the school Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos in the Dominican Republic. Bahia Principe presented a check to the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos School during the Children’s Solidarity Festival. The festival, which took place in San Pedro De Macoris, Dominican Republic, focused on education and fighting hunger. Representatives from Bahia Principe met with school officials and toured the facilities, greeted students, and observed classrooms. The day was filled with events, as large tents were set up to accommodate the many school children and staff members attending the donation ceremony and Children’s Solidarity Festival. Star students were awarded for their outstanding academic achievements, while classmates, staff members, and Bahia Principe representatives cheered. The day ended with Bahia Principe presenting a large check to the school, and a promise to work together to eradicate hunger and support the children of the area. Bahia Principe has a large presence in the Dominican Republic, as the all-inclusive resort group has properties in Samana, Punta Cana, and La Romana. The donation to become the food supplier of 2014 to Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, exemplifies the importance of a thriving education system and support of the local people - who are such an important part of the Bahia Principe family. Bahia Principe’s active participation in helping the surrounding families, schools, and environments of the areas in which their hotels are located, help to create a positive impact. Bahia Principe gives back to the communities in which many staff members live, and the staff members become more like family.
