The Baluchari, Banarasi, Bomkai, Jamdhani, Kota, Maheshwari, Rajkot, Sambalpuri, Tussar silks are part of the Northern belt fine silks. Banarasi comes in pure silk, organza, georgette, katan, crepe, supernet, shattir and etc. The fine natural cotton fiber with airy, soft, light and comfortable qualities suits best for judicious occasions. For all major festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, Ramzan, Ganesh Chaturdhi, Ram navami, Pongal and etc, cotton and georgette sarees with zari butties alights the day. Indian handlooms attract the viewers as they are specially woven by hand. Each and every small piece of work is carried out by hands with skilled weavers. Irrespective of demarcation, traditional sarees became parts of numerous rituals. Still, traditional Indian sarees continue to reign as ‘national heritages’ and ‘prides of society’.
