Why all this time, Sitting by the phone. Twenty years out of my life. And I sit and wait. Sometimes patiently. Sometimes in despair. Sometimes to say with my heart I do hope he calls. Other times to say, To hell with him. If he doesn't see someone special Who needs him? But yet I sit and wait.
