Prior to joining Hawassa University, he has served as Academic Associate in Hamdard IAS Study Circle, Hamdard University, New Delhi. He completed his Masters and Doctorate from Department of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. His academic and research interest spans subjects such as Political Theory & Liberalism, Democracy, Human Rights, Governance & Development, Minority Rights, Conflict Studies, Nehru Studies. His current research interests mainly revolve around socio-economic and political issues concerning different regions of Ethiopia.
