After investing millions of dollars in research and development of new technologies and products corporations that have made a stake in the production of their ideas typically file for a patent to protect their work. Spending thousands of man hours on the research that has produced a new item for the company the need to keep the designs and schematics of the product safe comes down to being able to patent the technology and license it to a manufacturer that can produce the item which can then be sold to consumers. With millions of dollars on the line the patent is able to prevent other manufactures from stealing the technology and copying it. However, as the business takes its wares overseas there is a continued need to apply for additional international patents that will keep the designs safe in other countries. Applying for a patent in a foreign land requires the original documentation to be translated into another language. Through the work of highly specialized business translation services corporations that are expanding their consumer base or manufacturing into new international territories are able to protect their work. As the translators are required to know something about the type of technologies they are helping to acquire patents for, the service provider is able to recruit the types of people that have a degree related to the patented items. Also ensuring that the best translation of the information is made available to the company the translators are recruited from inside the country where the patent will be issued. With native speakers of the language offering their expertise in the translation of the original patent, corporations are able to maintain their work and file for international patents that will continue to provide a blanket of protection for the millions of dollars that have been invested in the research and development of the products that will be introduced to a new consumer population. Multiling is a international patents optimizing translation for leading innovators. (http://www.multilingip.com)
