Everyday after work, Bobby and his girlfriend Lisa would go through the New York's central park together and go home happily. Bobby noticed that a tattered beggar always sat on a bench and quietly looked at the luxurious hotel on the opposite with a happy smile on the face. He curiously approached the beggar: "please forgive me, but I really don't understand why you can be so happy every day?" Beggar smiled silly: "Although I don’t have much money, I can get some change every day. When it is deep into the night, the hotel’s colorful lights will accompany me, so that I will always dream that I live in the comfortable hotel." Bobby deeply sympathized with the almost self-deception happy beggar, so he generously put $100 dollars into the beggar's hat. Apparently, the beggar never received such a large alm, so he vacuously stared at the money and thanked Bobby vigorously. The second day, when Bobby and his girlfriend passed by park, they met the beggar again. Because the weather was chilly and Bobby worried the beggar would be frozen, so he kindly gave him $100 dollars. The beggars couldn’t help saying to Lisa: "Your boyfriend is really excellent man." On the third day, when they passed by the park, the beggar has stood in the bench waiting for them: "I also want to have a chance to live in the luxurious hotel, can you help me again?" Bobby nodded, and took out 100 dollars. After that, every time went off work, the beggar would actively and kindly greeted to them, and then asked them for money so as to live in the hotel. Bobby routinely generously gave him the money. After more than ten days, bobby didn’t have much more money to relieve him, so he chose a roundabout route to avoid the beggar. One day, when Bobby was back home, Lisa said happily: "today the beggar especially asks me about you and he is worried that you are ill." Bobby said nothing, for he certainly understood the beggar didn’t really care about his body, but for he didn’t get the money. The pains of life are always caused by our higher happiness standard. What is worse, sometimes we unreasonably rely on others like this poor bagger.
