Let us face it, B2B telemarketing is a very stressful job, one that can give you great rewards but these happen far between each other. The rejection rate can also be pretty high, making it even more daunting for some marketers. As the manager, you would know that putting the wrong person on the job would not only mess up your efforts in generating more B2B leads, but would also spell disaster in the overall success of your marketing campaign. That is why you should make it a point to identify who are the best people for the job. Preferably, you should aim for those who display good entrepreneurial traits as they go about their B2B appointment setting tasks. As for what these traits are, they are pretty much easy to identify. You only need to be observant. In any case, look for those marketers who are:

1. Inventive – yes, while we might say that reinventing the wheel these days is near-impossible, but that should not stop you from finding something to improve on. It does not have to be anything grand, it might just be something that would make our lives easier to bear. There is the element of innovation here that is simple, yet effective, that entrepreneurial employees possess. 2. Resourceful – if there seems to be no business opportunities in a market, then an entrepreneurial telemarketing worker should create one. That is how your business can stay profitable. Besides, while some would say that there is no market for a product, an excellent marketer would know how to promote. Is that not how Apple, during Steve Jobs’ time, was able to sell well? 3. Capable – lead generation is all about performing. You see, your business will always face challenges as they go about their work. It is your capability to handle these tasks that makes all the difference. You need to deliver, since this is what your customers and sales leads prospects would expect from you. Without it, you will not be able to get any deals or sales made at all. That is why you need to have people who have the capacity to do this work. 4. Sensitive – not only with regards to their market, but also with the very growth of their own company. You need people who are aware of the way the market moves, of how their own business operates, and how to make things better. They can collect information through various channels, and know how to analyze the collected business data, as well as use the resulting information to improve the operations of your company. 5. Anyone – simply put, an entrepreneur can be anyone. Yes, some may say that there are different kinds of entrepreneurs, but the bottom line here is that this spot is open to everyone. All those who can display the four most important points above are capable of being part of your B2B lead generation team.

See, it is not that hard at all to find the right people for your B2B telemarketing campaign. You just have to look.
