In the last one decade, the public perception of law as a career has undergone a radical transformation. This is pioneered largely by the creation of the National Law Schools- a set of institutions designed to do justice to a career that has been the likes of Lincoln, Gandhi, Nehru and Sardar Patel. Legal profession is one of the growing and lucrative professions all over the world. It is one of the most adventurous as well as exciting careers. Lawyers are held with high esteem in our society, and there remains the faith that when everyone else fails, one can still take recourse to the legal system. In our daily life in one form or other we may come across the situation where legal advice is required. In such situation we need the advice of legal professionals who can analyze and interpret the law of land properly. It is all about civil services exam to encourage the new generation. They can find employment in various courts of law; in government services; both Central and State government, as teachers and as legal advisors in various companies, business houses, organizations etc. They can also indulge in the private practice as legal advisors, advocates, solicitors etc. In the judiciary, the posts are that of the magistrate, district and session judge, massifs (sub-magistrate), public prosecutor, solicitors, attorney general, advocate general, notary and oath commissioner. There are also legal secretaries appointed in assemblies, law inspectors, legal officers in banks, judicial members of income tax, sales tax and excise departments, government advocates and staff in the registrar of companies’ office. Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Property Law, Income Tax Law, Marine Law, International Law, Flaw, Labor Law, Press Law, Excise Law, Constitutional Law, Administration Law, Sale of Goods Law, Trade Mark, Copyright and Patent Law etc. all these things are related about civil services. Civil services courses are in vogue these days. There are hundreds of institutes in India producing more than quite a few thousand young and dynamic professionals who are ready to communicate in public media and are capable enough to take mass media in India to the world class level. Today Civil services is one of the most exciting career options available to students after class 12th. However lack of information in the student fraternity about the courses offered by different universities and institutes has proved to be the biggest bottleneck in the attractiveness of this career. The Bachelor and Master degrees of Civil services equip the students with structured learning in civil services theories. Students develop professional knowledge and communication skills necessary for a career in mass media.
