Hosting a cocktail party for family and friends is a great way to celebrate the holidays. Cocktail parties are easy to plan and loved ones can enjoy the holidays all the more with your fun celebration. All you will need are delicious drinks and stylish barware to host this holiday party. Setting up a bar or a mixing station is a great idea. The buffet table or dining table can be used as the bar; choose a spot that guests can easily access and also have room to mingle. Place plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options along with barware such as cocktail shakers and tools at this bar. Ice buckets filled with ice can help keep the beverages chilled. Arrange bottles of vodka, vermouth and gin at the center of the table along with ice, mixers and garnishes. Essential barware such as martini glasses, champagne flutes and personalized cocktails napkins should be placed on both ends of the table. That will make two mixing stations available to your guests. If you are serving special cocktails at the party, mix some drinks ahead and place them at the bar. Make holiday-inspired drinks such as cranberry champagne for this holiday cocktail party. To make this cocktail, pour chilled cranberry juice in a champagne flute and slowly add champagne to it. The cranberry juice adds a wonderful holiday twist to champagne and the cocktail has a festive red color that is perfect for this celebration. Make some drinks and place all the ingredients at the bar so guests can make more if they wish. To help guests mix their drinks, print the recipe on cards and place them at the bar. Along with your signature cocktail, also print recipes for classic cocktails on index cards. Set up a separate area for hors d'oeuvres or pass them around on trays. An easy way is to prepare trays with personalized cocktail napkins and hors d'oeuvres that are served at room temperature and place these at the bar area while trays with hot hors d'oeuvres can be circulated among your guests. Provide your visitors with personalized cocktail napkins and coasters so they can enjoy the delicious food and drinks with ease. Check the food and bar table periodically throughout the party to see what needs to be replenished. Cheers!
