This may be because the androgen in male hormone is effective in preserving the functions and the structure of the Meibomian and the lacrimal glands. These glands provide the tear film’s aqueous layer. They are also responsible for producing the oily substance for prevention of the the evaporation of tear film of the eye. The various treatments for this condition include the use of simulated tear drops or ointments, permanent or temporary punctual occlusion, and restasis. Usually, the dry eye syndrome leads to blindness and the symptoms are quite irritating and cause a lot of discomfort. While applying the drop make sure not to touch the dropper with any part of your eye. This may cause contamination of your eyes.
