After a near 5 year absences I finally found a Ping K15 Fairway Wood worth putting in my bag. I had been playing with a 18 degree G-10 hybrid as my three wood replacement because I could not hit any three woods out there ,well on a regular basis. Using lightweight materials, the Ping K15 Fairway Wood offers progressive weight, flex and torsion profiles. This increases clubhead speeds to promote maximum distance and superior control, consistency and feel. If you are struggling with fairways, this K15 is the ideal choice for you. This club gets off the ground and has a boring straight flight path. Playing this winter on the near hard pan conditions of the North Carolina this club has shined like a pro. The large head allows for so much confidence over the ball, you just can not wait to hit the ball. Distance is not what I expected though. It is shorter than my taylormade r11 irons for sale, but is still in the bag due to it being a little more accurate. I think its more accurate due to the shorter shaft than the r11, and more consistent . That being said , the burner was longer because of the occasional sweet spot shot and the longer shaft . The Straight Flight Technology works as advertised and did amazing things for my fade. I am now able to line the shot up where I want it to go and swing away. The external heal weight does encourage a more complete finish to my swing and adds a level of confidence that I have not been able to enjoy before. The flight is a little bit higher than that offered by Titleist 913F Fairway Wood for sale, but not much and as long as you are not playing in windy conditions. The Straight Flight Technology ‘bulge’ on the heel side of the sole is subtle and helps to turn the club over at impact to reduce the likelihood of a fade. The key to Ping K15 Fairway Wood's appeal is its extremely shallow face height, which not only makes it easy to hit from tight lies, equally as important, it makes it look easy to do just that. I added about 10 yards to my shots off the fairway and the joy of watching the ball go where I want it is priceless. I am able to work the ball flight as well, when I want that fade back I can get it, and it also alows me to put a little draw on when I need that as well. Overall, Ping K15 Fairway Wood is a great wood for high handicappers, but it is also suitable for golfers of mid-handicaps.
