The current version of Ruger 10/22 has auto-loading of rim fire rifle. It was designed to suit the places where other rifles cannot. More so that the barrel slides off the receiver and the major limitation factor is how small your can make Ruger 10 22 become the National Firearms Act and the mandatory 16+ inch barrel. However, for the people that prefer different stock or those that are looking for how to go to SBR route with their rifles, then Ruger 10 22 folding stock for the rifle is highly preferable. In the first place, when I got Ruger 10 22 stock in my mail, the instructions looked so short but they were excessively verbose. Breeze has replaced the factory stock and this breeze is pulled with a screw out and the whole receiver which is assembled becomes free. As soon as the Ruger 10/22 folding stock is in place, you will discover that it functions just like a folding skeletonised AK stock. It has a large hinge on one of its sides with a huge latch at the other side. This design has been tried and tested and offer you a strong feeling stock without bulk. Ruger 10/22 folding stock integrates seamlessly with the present forend and suits the colour and texture. Even though it is not exact but it is similar. Really, a little darker colour it is. The entire design of Ruger 10/22 folding stock seems to have been influenced by the Magpul school of tactical awesomeness and the features is very clean merely looking at the outer part with various attachment points for fast detach sling mounts. Ruger 10/22 folding stock comes with one QD cup adapter but it could be either to move the cup to your choice spot or to get more and fix them by yourself. Meanwhile, it is very important to search how good Ruger 10 22 stock is. I gave the gun to a couple who are novice and out of all the guns I brought from my range trip which include AK, SCAR, 300 BLK AR – 15, the couple like one of them. I also agreed that the pistol grip didn’t add any little additional comfort whenever one is firing a gun. But with my big hands, I have a little problem in gripping rifle. It seems as if the grip was just too small to touch and do cramp my hand. I do chalk it up to the chunky latch mechanism which is eating into the available space for the hand grip. This is not strenuous but a little bit annoying. But the gun functions just fine when firing with Ruger 10 22 stock closed. In conclusion, Ruger 10/22 folding stock do increases the whole length of the rifle but the barrel is considered to be the largest part. This is the reason why it could be sensible to turn it into an SBR. The barrel can be reduced in the front band and then add some threading for a silencer.
