The lower cost airlines offer bare bones costs on flights in SA to certain destinations in an attempt to make air travel possible for each one. These bare essentials flights offer the basic services without further extras like complimentary in-flight meals and drinks, aside from Velvet Sky Aviation which provides complimentary drinks. The airlines do however; offer buy on board meals for passengers travelling on their planes, and with the average flight being around 2 hours in length, the absence of meals is a little feature to most passengers. The destinations these airlines fly to are restricted to requirement for go by the masses, and thus most or even all of the airlines don't include flights to smaller destinations like Kimberley or Upington airport. These airports are only serviced by the nation's carrier South African Airways and its subsidiaries SAA Express. Smaller destinations like George airport, the start line for many Garden Route visitors, Bloemfontein airport in the Free State Province and East London in the Eastern Cape are serviced only by 1 or 2 of the discount airlines alongside South African Airways. The littler Lanseria airport is now a preferred alternative destination airport for Johannesburg due to it's walking distance to the business heart, is serviced by Kulula.com and Mango Airlines for inexpensive flight options as well as South African Airways. All the 4 reduced cost airlines offer regular prepared flights to Cape City Global airport, Durban World airport and Johannesburg's OR Tambo Global airport. The Cape City and Durban route is serviced by Kulula.com, 1time Airlines and Mango Airlines. These flights are lined up during their top hours 7 days each week but aren't available as frequently or as regular as the Cape City to Johannesburg flights which are booked daily from all of the airlines with a considerable number of flights available during the day. For passengers flying between Johannesburg and Durban, Velvet Sky Airlines, Kulula.com, 1Time Airlines and Mango Airlines all offer booked flights between Durban's King Shaka World airport and Tambo Global airport. Kulula.com also offers budget air tickets between Johannesburg's Lanseria airport and Durban's King Shaka World airport. All 4 of the lower cost airlines offering budget air tickets in SA offer online booking on their individual web sites with simple navigation and well designed search websites. These airlines also offer a bunch of payment strategies for passengers like e-bucks and electronic transfer payments as well as FNB mobile phone banking from Kulula.com and payments at the money market counters at Shoprite and Checkers shops from Mango Airlines, to cater for the visitors with no accessibility to the web.
