Ultrasounds are sound waves generated by machines that enter the body and reflect back to produce an image of the internal organs on the screen. In normal condition all the organs inside will appear normal. In abnormal results however, many possible conditions could be revealed, such as spleen enlargement, kidney stones, gallstones, cholecystitis, hydronephrosis, abdominal aortic aneurysm, etc. Another ultrasound technique related to the ultrazvuk abdomena is the Doppler ultra sound. This is a special procedure designed to check the velocity of the blood as it flows through a blood vessel, including the major arteries and veins in the abdomen, arms, legs and neck.
