The Perth Mint’s Senior Analyst, Bron Suchecki, will be outlining the different ways you can buy precious metals at a special presentation during the upcoming ANDA Coin Show in Melbourne (http://www.anda.com.au/news.asp?contentID=79). With 16 years experience in the precious metal markets, Bron is ideally equipped to answer questions about bullion purchases available from The Perth Mint. During his hour-long presentation, he’ll look at gold and silver, coins and bars, storage options, certificate programs and even how to purchase gold via the Australian Stock Exchange. The forthcoming ANDA Coin Show takes place at Caulfield Racecourse, Concourse Ground Level, Melbourne on the 3 and 4 July 2010. Large gold bullion bars made at The Perth Mint refinery can be identified by a mark comprising a stylised swan and the words ‘The Perth Mint Australia’ in a rounded rectangle. Our smaller gold bullion bars have a slight variation of the LBMA registered mark. The swan appears with the words around it in a circle. The updated mark reflects The Perth Mint’s revitalised corporate identity, introduced in 2008, and coincides with our full acquisition of Australia’s only major refinery. The Perth Mint has achieved more sell outs with news today concerning two recent silver bullion coin issues. The full 300,000 mintage of our 2010 1oz Australian Kookaburra silver bullion coin is now fully allocated to our international coin distribution network. Also, the entire 300,000 mintage of the 2009 1oz Year of the Ox silver bullion coin is similarly accounted for. We will not be making any more of these coins and customers are urged to contact their usual suppliers promptly if they’re still keen to acquire these popular issues before stocks run out.
