If you are a fan of the massive advent of free internet news sites over the last two decades, you are far from alone. However, it can be a bit troublesome to determine which internet news sites are reliable, and which ones are slanted to the point where the facts themselves become a bit blurry. With that in mind, there are a few ways to determine which internet news sites are reasonably reliable in their reporting, and which ones are best for opinions on current events. For the most part, the websites run by the big names in respected traditional news media outlets are fairly reliable sources. Setting up a feed that includes internet news stories from these long standing titans of journalism is a very good way to keep abreast of current events, and is unlikely to be riddled with fabrications. However, there are quite a few online only internet news portals that have a stellar reputation for hard hitting journalism, as well. One of the best ways to sort out which of these online internet news venues are known to be reliable is to execute a simple search engine query on the subject. Once you have a few well known and reliable internet news sources with no traditional media counterpart, go ahead and make their news feed a part of your regular reading, as well. Diversity in news sources is always a good thing, and some venues are known for more in depth stories on certain subjects than others. Familiarizing yourself with an eclectic variety of internet news sources is a terrific way to ensure that you are always well versed in the events that are going on around you, and are able to intelligently discuss the major issues of the day.
