Even though the condition of acne is an excess production of sebum, you don't want to over dry the skin. You want a pH balance of 4.2 to 5.6. 5. Wash cosmetics off of the skin before going to bed at night. Make-up that is left on overnight can clog pores. Get rid of old cosmetics. Wash all cosmetic brushes and applicators with soap and water after each use. Avoid using liquid foundations. Use powdered make-up instead. 6. Rub raw garlic over the acne several times in a day.
