6 Yeast Infection Remedies to Treat a Yeast Infection

Health
People can start noticing the infection through the release of yeast like odor from an infected person. If not properly treated, the condition can affect a person for a lifetime. This bothering and alarming condition can be stopped through some natural yeast infection treatment programs proven to be effective.

Garlic - Cut a clove of garlic into small thin pieces, wrap in cheesecloth and insert into the vagina and leave for 20 minutes, leave an ear of the cheesecloth hanging out for easy removal. Nonprescription vaginal medications are available for treating vaginal yeast infection; vaginal boric acid capsules are another option. If you have had a vaginal yeast infection before, are not pregnant, and are certain your present symptoms are the same as during the previous infection, you can self-treat your infection. If you have a yeast infection that keeps returning despite treatment, see your health professional. A recurring yeast infection can be a sign of another health problem. Yeast infections are common during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, do not use any medication without first discussing your symptoms with your health professional.

While tea tree oil may not be the most potent antimicrobial around, it is an ideal skin disinfectant, as its role is to work against a broad variety of micro-organisms (both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as fungi), and it has a low incidence of irritation. Tea tree oil can be applied to all conditions of the skin and orifices. The extensive antimicrobial activity makes it valuable for genital irritations resulting from pathogenic organisms including yeasts and bacteria.

Remove refined sugar and carbohydrates from your diet. This includes molasses, honey, white flour, white rice, and any type of cereal. These foods can make candida breed.

Make a douche using apple cider vinegar and garlic. Stir one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into an 8-ounce glass of water and place one peeled garlic clove into it. Let this sit for 30 minutes. Remove the garlic clove and then douche with it two times a day. Repeat until the symptoms clear.

Rub rosemary on the area to relieve itching and burning. You can make a rosemary tea and use it as a natural douche or to just dab on the area.

Fold the gauze in half to form what would look like a tampon. Insert the garlic, vaginal suppository inside the vaginal area. Remove the suppository every 3 or 5 hours and insert a new one. Repeat the process for about 3 to 5 days or until the infection is gone. Author is an online medical researcher on hair loss treatment and yeast infections treatment.
