Toronto, Canada – GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has launched its 13.56 MHz HF RFID Reader Module which offers three independent firmware functions. It is an optimal solution for product authentication, anti-counterfeiting, access control and contactless payment. This highly scalable HF RFID reader module, model 713010, features small footprint, easy integration, industry-leading open standards security, superior embedability, low power consumption, various tag compatibility and intelligent software. This reader module is compliant with more ISO 15693 and ISO 14443A/B RFID tags than other readers allowing customers to fully optimize their application. It is also compliant with various standards including FCC 15.225, EN 300-330, EN 301-489 and EN 61000-4-3. When used together with an external antenna, it boasts a long read range of 8 to 14 cm. It consumes little power: 4 mA in sleep mode, 75 mA in idle mode and 130 mA in scan mode. The upgradable firmware provides forward compatibility for supporting future tag protocols and features. In addition, it offers a 9.6 to 38.4 kbps UART (TTL) host interface, four general purpose I/O ports and a simple and intuitive API. This cost-effective HF RFID reader module belongs to GAO’s family of RFID Embedded Modules.
