An addition of three new actors will become the faces of characters on the long-running soap opera, General Hospital. These three will be a few of a handful from other popular television programs who are set to appear on the multi-awarded show. One hails from a Stephen Bochco show in the 1980s, while another hails from General Hospital's brainchild, Port Charles. Recruit number three has popped in on various political and criminal dramas. All three fresh faces will fill in recurring roles, however, a possibility of becoming a regular cast member will highly depend on audience reception. For one, Hill Street Blues alum Bruce Weitz was cast to play Anthony Zacchara. Weitz is best known for playing Sgt. Mick Belker on all seven seasons of the highly acclaimed police drama. More recently, he appeared as a guest star on another popular police series, NYPD Blue. His other appearances include those in ER, The Practice and Grey's Anatomy. Weitz's appearance on General Hospital is scheduled on October 12. Moreover, Jay Pickett, who appears on Port Charles as Frank Scanlon, is set to fill in the recurring part of Detective David Harper on General Hospital. Pickett is yet another of those who have moved from Port Charles to its mother program. Kelly Monaco, who became the face of Livvie Rock on Port Charles, currently fills in the role of Samantha McCall on General Hospital. Pickett is no newbie on General Hospital as he once played Lorenzo Alcazar as a one day substitute for Ted King back in March of 2006. He also appeared on the show for crossover storylines between the two shows. Pickett appears as Detective Harper on General Hospital on October 9. Lastly, Claire Coffee, who has filled in various roles in high profile military, political and forensic shows such as CSI, West Wing and NCIS will become the face of Nadine on General Hospital on October 5.
