Also, people celebrate Rice Harvest Festival when they harvest paddy fields in the months of late November and Early December. This festival is called Puttari and everyone enjoys stacking thei harvested paddy in odd numbers and with specific vegetarian foods. Coorg is famous for its Spicy food, one can enjoy the whole journey with good cuisines too.
Other places to visit near Bangalore apart from Coorg are, Mysore, Chennai,Tirupati and Ooty where people flock in large numbers every year.
