There are so many different kinds of body piercing jewelry which vary according to the part of the body that it will be used for. Body jewelry is most commonly used in the ear, nose and the tongue, but items of jewelry for other untraditional parts of the body such as the midriff, nipples and the genitals are now considered very much in vogue. Another category of body piercing jewelry that has started to become popular is referred to as oral jewelry, or in other words, jewelry that fits different parts of the mouth, such as the tongue, cheek, lip or even the labret. There are so many reasons why both genders opt for body piercing jewelry. Sometimes it is a matter of tradition or culture. Sometimes it is a matter of conforming to fashion or making a statement. No matter why one would be interested to get a piercing done, this trend has led to members of both sexes showing an increased interest in different kinds of jewelry for their body. This has resulted in a wide variety of designs cropping up on the market catering to this increased level of demand.
