Fear might not be a bad thing. There must be some things about which you should be afraid and in some things about which we should exercise proper caution. But, whenever our fears control us, or stop us from taking certain risks, we allow these fears to describe us. We allow them to control us simply to courses of action that people deem comfortably safe, and consequently, many of us never achieve our own potential. Or, we cheat ourselves out of the wealth which in turn life could otherwise keep for us. If you wonder about what your lifetime might be like if you weren’t frightened of that factor, whatever it is, you know that things could be better. If you peer beyond the dread to the great things about overcoming the worry, you may see a world that may just be worth taking some danger to live in. Please take a few minutes and make up a list of the advantages and disadvantages of coping with the thing that you’re afraid of. Sometimes we are generally fearful of what we picture might happen as we step away from our comfort zone. It’s all too easy a task to convince yourself that your reasons for being frightened are all appropriate. We can picture all sorts of bad things if we contemplate a thing we’re scared of, however this doesn’t help make those things genuine. It is fully natural to be fearful of the unknown. You don’t know what might happen if you make that phone call to the one who intimidates you, or you’re not sure how the boss may react should you really speak your mind. If there is one fear that is common to nearly all of people, it is the anxiety about failure. While there are many scenarios where failure is potentially devastating, or perhaps actually life-threatening, more often than not it isn’t. Yet, the fear involving failure short-circuits thoughts, stymies careers and deprives us of experiences and opportunities which could enrich our lives. Our problems can be dead-ends in which we end up being stuck or they may be learning experiences that can get us to try some other routes to success, depending on how we deal with them. For this reason, make an effort to make that sure your fears do not manipulate you, but rather that you deal with your fears. Take the time to manage and to work through the fears that are holding you back from a far more rewarding life. conquering fear
