Pay as you Go deals have become more competitive over the last few years with networks offering free inclusive minutes or text messages when customers top up by a specific amount each month. The inclusive allowance is a reward/gift from the network to the customer for spending their money with their chosen network each month. This stretches the customer’s mobile phone credit, so it is therefore no surprise that these types of deals have become more popular with Pay as you Go customers. O2 offer ‘reward’ deals on their Pay and Go talkalot tariff offering customers 150 inclusive minutes when customers top up by £15 per month. Their online sim cards offer 300 inclusive text messages per month when you top up by £10 per month. Orange offer the same 300 inclusive text messages when customers top up by £10 per month or £1 bonus top up credit (£10 top up + £1 bonus reward = £11 phone credit). Tesco have now jumped on the bandwagon and released a new sim card that offers free inclusive minutes or text messages when you top up by £15 per month. They reward you with 150 inclusive minutes or 500 text messages for topping up by £15 per month. It is worth considering a pay as you go sim card with rewards if you’re happy with your current mobile phone and you are a low mobile phone user. If you use around 100 – 200 minutes per month it may be worth taking out a contract as this would work out as the cheaper option. Remember to do your homework before purchasing a deal.
