Children are like weeds—they are always growing up and out. What about your kids? Are they always growing out of their clothes, either physically or socially? That shirt with extra-long sleeves that fit your son perfectly last week looks a little tight this week and will probably be two sizes too small in a month or so. The pair of designer jeans that your sweet daughter just had to have last month will suddenly be “so last year, Mom!” Even more frustrating? Thinking to yourself, “Oh good! Jake has that warm coat from last year! It was big on him then, so it should fit him just fine this year,” only to discover that, even though the coat is still great, Jake is greater (in size, that is). Finding appropriate children’s clothing in Austin, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; or Twin Falls, Idaho, can be a weekly struggle. Kids can be hard on a limited clothing budget. If you have more than one or two kids, forget taking a vacation to Hawaii with your spouse or saving up for a trip to Disney Land next summer. You have to buy school clothes—again! If only the kids would just once a year, preferably during the summer months; then their clothes could fit them for an entire year! One way to save on children’s clothing is to let them go naked. Oh wait, that’s not an option! Well, on to other options. If you aren’t a seamstress, you can always head out to thrift stores and consignment shops. And don’t forget the ever-present yard sale, which is particularly well suited for picking up a few pieces here and there, especially if you have younger children. Of course, if money is not a problem, go ahead and check out the stores specializing in childrens clothing in Austin or wherever you live. You will be able to find something for even the pickiest clothes horse. Keeping a child clothed from day to day can be a challenge, especially when that child is experiencing a growth spurt. When you are looking for children’s clothing in Austin, you have a lot of options to choose from, starting with making them yourself to buying them from a specialty boutique.
