Reason behind Antibody Production

Science & Technology
It is not a myth that antibodies are produced to fight some serious fatal diseases and also to make their shields. Antibodies produced by the immune system in the response to the presence of antigens in the human body. These antigens can be Bacteria, Bacterial Toxins, Viruses, or other Cells or Protein. Such antigens are capable of disrupting the body's process. There are five different types of antibodies present in human serum and tissues. These antibody classes are IgM, IgA, IgG, IgE, and IgD. There are other four classes of IgG to make things difficult to understand. IgM is the first antibody to be made in facing new antigens. IgG is the most prevalent antibody serum. IgA is mainly found on the surface of molecules and in secretions like tears, saliva etc. IgE is present in low level in serum. IgD is found in the surface of immature in cell, where it plays a role in B cell maturation.

There are so many biotechnology plants across globe which is involved in custom antibody production. It is a work which requires great research and special environment. Custom antibody development is one of the most important inventions of Bio-science industries.

Need of Antibody in Humans

Human body contains hundreds of thousands of different white blood cells called "B lymphocytes", each capable of producing one type of antibody and each bearing sites on its membrane that will bind with a specific antigen. When such a process starts, itactivates the B lymphocytes to reproduce itself formatting a clone that manufactures a big amount of its antibody. While most antibodies produced in biologics are anti-cancer agents, there are a number of other areas of disease management to which biologics in this class are starting to play a significant role. These indications include immune dysfunction, infectious disease and mental illness.

What makes these antibodies work in blood?

After an immunogenic cell or GFAP antibody mixes up in our blood flow, the unaffected system of the body can respond through humeral type responses such as Antibody Production and Cell-mediated responses. The huge diversity of antibodies allows the immune system to recognize an equally wide diversity of antigens. Antigens are typically defined as any foreign substance that causes an immune response. The unique part of the antigen recognized by an antibody is called an epitope. Each epitope binds with their antibody in a highly specific interaction, called induced fit or lock and key. This process allows antibodies to identify and bind only their unique antigen in the midst of the millions of different molecules that make up an organism. There are two types of TNF receptors: those found embedded in white blood cells that respond to TNF by releasing other cytokines, and soluble TNF receptors which are used to deactivate TNF and blunt the immune response. In addition, TNF receptors are found on the surface of virtually all nucleated cells. Red blood cells, which are not nucleated, are free from the TNF receptors make a different approach.
