As we all known, rotary kiln is useful equipment in mining industry. This article is mainly about one kind of rotary kiln – rotary clinker kiln. The working principle of Rotary clinker kiln: The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly about its axis sometimes in the same direction as the process material (co-current), but usually in the opposite direction (counter-current). The hot gases may be generated in an external furnace, or may be generated by a flame inside the kiln. Such a flame is projected from a burner-pipe which acts like a large Bunsen burner. The fuel for this may be gas, oil or pulverized coal. Features of Rotary clinker kiln: 1. Low pressure drop pre heaters. 2. Raw mill equipped with High efficiency separator. 3. Raw Meal blending in CFC silo. 4. Pre calciner suitable to work with alternative fuels. 5. Inlet & discharge fitted with efficient seals. 6. Benchmark cooler design. 7. Low Fuel Consumption. 8. Pre calciner suitable for alternative fuels. 9. Low Pressure Drop pre heaters. Rotary clinker kiln is used to make clinker. Both dry and wet methods are applicable. The clinker kiln is made up of the shell, driving device, supporting device, the supporting device with thrust roller, sealing device at kiln tail, movable kiln head and the combustion device, etc. To maximize efficiency, our clinker kiln incorporates the advanced hydraulic thrust roller device, high measuring precession plunger pump, contact graphite block sealing device, variable speed adjusted valve, and other nationally advanced technologies. At the head of clinker kiln, there is an industrial TV which helps to monitor the kiln, thus increasing its automation degree. The adoption of these technologies has made it superior in facilitating vision, convenient in operation and reliable in performance, etc. Meanwhile, the thermal condition is stabilized and the running rate of rotary clinker kiln is raised. Compared to other equipment of the same size, the running rate and production rates of our clinker kiln have been increased by 10% and 5-10% separately, while at the same time reducing the heat consumption by 15%.
