When I was a little child, I was quite impressed with my grandpa, who was crazy about collecting different kinds of colorful cobblestones. At that time, these cobblestones were useless like stones in my eyes and I disliked them, which made my grandpa angry with me. One day, I felt very boring alone at home, so I slipped into my grandpa’s room and decided to take his cherished cobblestones to play with my neighbors. We carried the cobblestones together to the stream near my home and threw them into the water one by one. When night fell, all of the cobblestones were thrown into the stream, and we returned home happily. When I arrived at home, my grandpa looked for his cobblestones madly like an angry lion. At first, I was afraid of telling the truth to him and intent to tell lies, but finally, I confessed everything to him. To my surprise, he didn’t shout at me at all, instead, he cried, took a flashlight and rushed to the stream. However, the cobblestones sank so deeply under the stream that my grandpa couldn’t pick them up. Of course, my parents gave me a lesson and I apologized to my grandpa later. And he told me the reason why he loved the cobblestones from the bottom of his heart. When my grandpa was a young boy, he fell in love with my grandma at first sight, who was very beautiful, gentle and lovely. At the moment, many other young rich boys ran after her too, and promised to buy diamonds for her. But she didn’t agree with them and chose your grandpa, who could only afford to buy a pebble for her. Although they were poor, they shared happiness and sorrow together. Unfortunately, my grandma suffered from breast cancer seriously. During these periods, my grandpa felt very sad, but my grandma encouraged me to live happily with her everyday. When my grandpa didn’t stay with her, my grandma would hold cobblestones in her hands and waited for my grandpa. Hence, when my grandma died, my grandpa regarded these pebbles as treasure that left by my grandma. When he was lonely, he would touch these stones, which gave him a sense of comfort and happiness. Hence, I am quite regretful for what I did in my childhood. After reading this moving story, are you keen to know more about stones? If you are, you might as well visit stonebtb.
