How time flies, I have graduated from university and worked in a foreign trade company for a year. During this period, I have experienced the differences of studying at school and working in society. Unconsciously, I fall into thought and recall these happy memories with my classmates in the university. Before entering the university, our senior teacher would encourage us to study hard and said to us, “Your lives won’t be completed without going to university, where you can develop your hobbies, run after your dreams, give full play to your talents and improve your social skills.” Hence, we looked forward to opening the door of university every day. Luckily, our hard work paid off and we realized our goals successfully. However, when I stepped into my university on the first day, I became disappointed with it, which looked rather old, ugly and dirty. When I went into my dormitory, I found it was dark, small and humble. To be honest, I was very regretful to choose this university at the moment and had the desire to leave away. Until now, I still remember that I cried painfully and wrote a diary online. The next day, one of my good friends from another university called on me. She told me that she had read my diary and was afraid that I might do some harm to myself. Although she suffered carsickness, she tried to comfort me and make me happy. At that night, we went to the West Lake Park near her university, which was really a perfect place for people to relax. You can see lots of tall trees, green grasses and colorful flower here and there, and many old people have a walk on the pebbles so as to promote blood circulation. Above all, there was a music fountain in the middle of the river, where people rowed happily. After walking around the park, we rowed a boat in the lake. At that time, it seemed that only my friend and I lived on earth freely and she told me to take everything as it came and believed that gold will shine in the dark one day. So I followed her advice and learnt to love my university from then on. Gradually, I found my university was far better than what I had expected and my life became very meaningful.
