All you have to do is to write a press release that is less than 750 words and submit the same to a news wire site like www.prweb.com. Your press release should contain newsworthy information, which should stick to answering the who, what, where, when and why of a particular event. Press releases get picked up by several publishers, both online and offline. You'll be surprised by the amount of traffic one good press release will generate for your website. * Create a blog at www.blogger.com. Choose the default hosting option, that is, allow Blogger to host your blog. Make sure that your blog would link to your main website, either as a mention in your posts, or as a fixed link on your menu bar. * Blog and ping. There are many blog services that are offered for free. Blogspot is perhaps the most popular of them. All you have to do is to create a blog relevant to the subject of your website. Thereafter, you can include your link in each entry you will post. You can also get the RSS feed of your blog and enroll it with your Yahoo and MSN account. Simply type in the RSS feed address to your account at www.my.yahoo.com and www.my.msn.co . Then, with every entry you publish, ping the same over at www.pingomatic.com. Then offer an eBook or a special report you'd otherwise offer for free. Sell it for a cent. Now you might wonder who'd buy the product for a cent when they can get it from your website for free. Here's the clincher. Ebay members are always on the lookout for one cent products. They're not really after the product, they're after the feedback. (Just make sure that your eBay sales page is populated with the right keywords.) * Buy space from websites with a page rank of 4 or higher. Higher ranked websites will give you the best chance to give a boost to your own website's page rank. They may cost more, but you'll be spending anyway so might as well spend for the best possible option. There are quite a number of online businessmen who have made a living by creating websites, increasing their page ranks, and offering valuable real estate for other webmasters who wish to advertise their links. * Submit your web pages i.e. every web page and not just the home page, to the most popular search engines and directory services. Hire someone to do so, if required. Be sure this is a manual submission (i.e. http://www.WebDirectoryBank.com ). Do not engage an automated submission service. Keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high. * Forum marketing. There are sure to be some forums devoted to the subject of your website. Find these forums and create an account with each of them. Once you're a member in those forums, include a link to your website in the signature box that would be provided for. Your signature box will appear in every post you will make. The trick here is to publish as many significant posts as you could. Each post will serve as a link to your main website, and would improve its link popularity. There is bound to be a forum that is relevant to the subject of your website. And most forums allow its users signature boxes where they can include their website links.
