Recently, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook got married with twenty-seven-year-old Priscilla Chan, who was a talented woman of Harvard University. Some people evaluated her as the luckiest bride in the world, but you will know that her luck isn’t accidental after reading her story as follows. Both of her parents were Vietnamese refugees and in order to making a living, they worked from dawn to night for 18 hours everyday and used their savings to open a small-scale Chinese restaurant on the food street of Boston. In 1985, they gave birth to Priscilla Chan. Afterwards, her young sister Elaine and Michelle were born one by one. Because her parents were too busy to look after children, so she was brought up by her grandma when she was young. Although her grandma didn’t understand the English and could only speak Chinese, she was cultured and taught her the principle of being upright person, which made her independent, confident and optimistic. When she was only 13 years old in the middle school, she ran to his tennis coach and asked him, “Could you tell me how to be admitted by Harvard University?” At that time, the coach was shocked, for he had never met a thirteen-year-old child who asked such a question and understood what she wanted. Then the coach encouraged her to take part in tennis club, for Harvard showed preference to students who were well-rounded. In fact, she wasn’t talented in terms of sports, but she quickly made great progress by hard practice. Finally, when she entered Harvard, she gave the coach a free luncheon voucher of her parents’ restaurant to show thanks for him. When her husband, Mark Zuckerberg dropped off from Harvard, built Facebook in the dormitory and then set up a company in California’s silicon valley, she still studied hard in Harvard. After getting the bachelor’s degree of biology, she was admitted to California medicine college and successfully got the qualification of pediatrician one week before the weeding. Besides, she wished to make full use of her knowledge to make great contributions to society. Once she persuaded her husband to open up new sections in the Facebook and encouraged people to donate organs, for both of them hoped that they could make the world more peaceful, friendly and harmonious.
