Golden sand beaches, limestone cliffs, secreted coves, turquoise blue ocean, coral reefs, the implausible Maya Bay and the Ao Ton Sai, great night life, mouth-watering Thai delicacies, canoeing adventures, rock climbing, snorkeling, you've got it all at the ferry Phi Phi Island. That's why those who have come here once must do so again, and again. Phi Phi Island, also known as PP Island is just a couple of hours away from Phuket and Krabi in Thailand. So if you are visiting any of these places, you must come to the truly implausible PP. A few years back Phi Phi Island was completely destroyed by the Tsunami (this was actually the second worst affected place by the huge waves), however everything has now been wonderfully restored. Perhaps the facilities are now better than they were before. Coming to the Phi Phi Island. The Island is very close to both koh phi phi Phuket and Krabi. Just head to the pier in any of these two cities, catch the ferry and you would be arriving at the ferry Phi Phi Island in just a few hours. All ferries to the island will take you to the Ao Ton Sai coast. If you are staying somewhere close, you can just hop out and walk to your resort. And if you are staying at the extended coast or on the other side of the island, then you must take another boat that will take you to your resort. If you have a previous booking, often the resort will also send a boat for you. Another way to reach the PP Island is by taking the sea plane. Get aboard the short flight and you will get an amazing view of the sea and the rocks. It offers a completely different perspective. Tours to the Phi Phi Island. There are two kinds of trips to the Island. You could come here on a day journey and get back to koh phi phi Phuket or Krabi by the evening, or you could decide to stay here for a few days. Both of these tours are very popular, but of course if you are a day-tripper, you will miss out on the many attractions of the island. For instance, you won't be able to camp at Maya Bay, where Leonardo Di Caprio's "The coast" was filmed and you can't enjoy the Full Moon Parties at PP. But you can still see the major attractions of PP like the ferry Phi Phi Leh and the Phi Phi Don islands, the Bamboo Island, Mosquito Island, Monkey coast, the Viking Cave, Pileh Cove, and of course the Maya Bay and Ao Ton Sai. Your trip for PP will leave in the morning and return you to your hotel room by the evening. You can book a day tour to see all the attractions if you are staying on the island as well. The long end or the speed boat will take you around all the places, provide lunch at Bamboo Island, and bring you back as you witness an wonderful sunset on the Andaman Sea.
