That was a Friday and when I was on my way home after school, I saw Kyle holding a thick stack of books in his hand. I thought silently: "Why does he want to carry all the books home? He must be a bookworm. Unlike him, I want to have a great time in the weekend by attending the party and playing football with a few friends.” At the moment, I suddenly saw a group of children deliberately overturned his booksto the ground, and some other children even tripped him, so he immediately fell down. Kyle’s glasses flew out, and he raised his head and looked at everything helplessly. From his eyes I could read his pain, and then I ran toward him. He lay on the ground to grope for the glasses, but I put the glasses in his hand in time. He thanked me and smiled gratefully form the bottom of his heart. Then I learned that there wasn’t a long distance between our homes, so we went home together. I though he was good, so I asked whether he was interested in playing football with us on Saturday, and he agreed with me joyfully. Since then, kyle and I became best friends. Many years later, kyle especially invited me to go to his college graduation ceremony. In his speech, he said," the graduation ceremony is the most moment for us to express appreciation to those who helped us. I want to take this opportunity to thank my best friend." Then, he began to tell our story, and I was surprised to hear that. Until that day I just knew in that weekend many years ago, he was going to commit suicide! He said he had packed the school cabinet and carried all the books, so his mother wouldn’t have to go to school to clear up his things. Then he looked at me, showed a smile on his face and went on to say, "however, I'm very lucky, it is my friend that pulled me back from the brink of tomb.” At that moment, I truly understand what he said, "never underestimate the power of your behavior, and maybe your small action can change another person's fate. God let each of us face another life and let us influence another life in one way or another."
