Toyota the largest manufacturer of cars in the world has struggled a lot in Indian market make its spot. Since its inception in India in1997 the Company has delivered a lot of promising products but still hasn’t gained its ranking as it has in the global market. Toyota has offered a lot to the wide base of its customer, but two of its cars that really leave a mark are the Toyota Innova that literally rules the MPV section Toyota Etios Liva and the compact sedan section. Toyota Innova. The Toyota Innova is a Compact MPV .In the Indian auto market Toyota Innova is available with twelve variants. Three variants of Toyota Innova come with a petrol engine option which is powered by 2.0L, 1998cc, 1TR-FE, Inline Cylinder petrol engine with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). The EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) technology enhances the fuel efficiency and performance of the vehicle. This engine delivers high engine performance and produces 132 PS of maximum power at 5600rpm with 181 Nm of maximum torque at 4000rpm. The diesel variants of Toyota Innova are powered by 2.5L, 2494cc, 2KD-FTV, diesel engine with Turbocharger, 4 Inline Cylinder and with Common-Rail Direct Injection fuel supply system. This diesel engine produces 102 PS of maximum power at 3600rpm and 200 Nm of maximum torque at 1400~3400rpm. The top end petrol variant of Toyota Innova comes with Airbags, Trip Computer, Power Windows, Power ORVMs, Rear Aircon, Central Locking, Remote Locking and some of the additional features that this variant offers are Alloy Wheels, Fog Lamps, Chrome Outside Rear view Mirror, MID (Multi Information Display), Optitron Combimeter with Illumination Control, Wooden Panels, Automatic Climate Control AC, 2 DIN AM/FM 1CD (With MP3) with Six Speakers, ABS, Airbags and many more features. The top end diesel variant of Toyota Innova offers the same features as the petrols along with the standard features of power steering, Driver Seat belt Warning, Cigarette Lighter, Power Outlet, Sunvisor Passenger, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Immobilizer, etc. Toyota innova price diesel variant starts at around 9, 34,702 and goes up to 13, 84,884 with a difference of around ?5000 between 7 seated and 8 seated models. The petrol variant starts from around 9, 09,702 and its top notch casts about 13, 59,884 with same price difference as in diesel for seats. Toyota Etios The Toyota Etios was first showcased at the 2010 Auto Expo in Delhi as a 'concept car'. It competes with the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Hyundai Accent, Tata Indigo Manza, Mahindra Verito,Chevrolet Aveo and Ford Fiesta. The Etios is available in both Petrol and Diesel variants at different trim levels likely J, G, G+, V and VX. The Etios petrol is powered by a 1,496 cc (91.3 cu in) I4 16V DOHC engine powering 90 PS (66 kW; 89 hp) at 5600 rpm and producing a torque of 132 N•m (97 lb•ft) at 3100 rpm. Its estimated top speed is about 175 km/h. it has been said to have a mileage of about 17.75 km/l. The diesel variant is said to be the more steady with a 1,364 cc (83.2 cu in) I4 8V SOHC D-4D engine capable of producing a power of 68 PS (50 kW; 67 hp) at 3800 rpm and a torque of 170 N•m (130 lb•ft) at1800 – 2400 rpm. The Etios diesel boasts a mileage of 23.59 km/l. Both the variants are equipped with manual gear box. Along with standard specification, The Etios is equipped with an immobilizer and Door Ajar Warning as standard across all Trims models and Dual SRS Airbags and ABS, EBD only on the G+, V and VX trims. After repeated complaints, that the car has high noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. Toyota, within a few months of the launch of the vehicle, has added insulation in the cabin and rubberised coating in wheel wells to improve NVH levels. The Etios petrol is priced at ? 5, 40,422 for the base model and the top model costs around ? 7, 25,353. The diesel on other hand starts at ? 6, 82,945 moving up to ? 8, 31,461 for the top trim.
