Cass Tell: Wonderful themes of culture and worldview

Advertising,Blogs,Writing

Having tremendously enjoyed Cass Tell’s novels, Pale Tides and Social Code, I’ve seen that they are very different than each other. It shows that Tell is a novelist that doesn’t stick to any particular genre, which is rare in today’s world of writers. On one Facebook posting he said he enjoys writing action/thrillers, but Pale Tides is a deeply troubling and reflective book that is anything but action literature. Cass Tell's website www.casstell.com says that, "In all of the novels there are underlying themes of worldview, culture and religion." That's true, so I guess that is the integrating factor with this author. I must say that if you like fiction that leaves you with an afterthought, then here is the author that delivers.

Cass Tell: The next J.D. Salinger?
After reading Pale Tides by Cass Tell, somehow I thought the book fit into a similar genre as The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. There are some slight similarities between Holden Caufield and Robert Macon, the main characters in these two books, that is, in the way the system beats them down and their reactions to it.. But Pale Tides has much more humor than The Catcher in the Rye, and it provides many more ongoing social commentaries and insights. Cass Tell as a writer also seems to have something in common with J.D. Salinger in that he prefers a private lifestyle. While Salinger was a recluse, it seems that Tell travels the world. He likes to get out and observe, but doesn’t want the public spotlight where he will be observed. He also posts on Facebook, which does give some insights into his thinking. But his postings are carefully crafted and you wonder how much he will reveal about himself? In this regard, Cass Tell www.casstell.com is independent and sets his own agenda. He is definitely a writer to take notice of. I will now read Social Code and hope that Destinee Media soon releases Cass Tell’s other completed novels.

Cass Tell: One Very Interesting Writer
Cass Tell the author of Pale Tides and Social Code seems to be an extremely interesting writer, not only in his novels but also in his lifestyle. His two published novels are very different from each other, one an action/thriller and the other more introspective and literary. Yet in each of them there are explorations of culture, religion and worldview. Both novels are controversial. Social Code is a parody on religious groups like Mormons, Scientologists, and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Pale Tides is an unflattering portrayal of legalistic, Pharisaic Christianity. Cass Tell doesn’t hold back and one walks away with a sense of the destructive nature of these religious systems. At the same time his novels offer hope. From a personal side, it appears that Cass Tell www.casstell.com prefers a private life and doesn’t want to be in the spotlight. From that private position he is able to observe modern society and then offer some wonderful works of fiction. I look forward to his next novels. He definitely leaves you with some afterthoughts. You can download the free popular ebook from his website free of cost.
