If its time for you to get a new mobile phone, but you are spoilt for choice as to which one to purchase here is yet another new mobile to add to the ever expanding selection to make your decision even more confusing! Sagem have announced the soon to be released my721X also known as the ‘So Ice’ is aimed at the mid range market, for those people who want a decent mobile phone on a budget. The my721X is only 9.8mm thick and weighs 90grams so it is a pretty compact light weight handset. They say good things come in small packages and this is no exception, it boasts an FM radio, microSD card expandable memory, Bluetooth, 2” 240 x 320 pixel display, multimedia player and a 3.2 mega pixel camera. Ok so it’s not amazing but if you’re on a budget it’s a good little mobile phone. It is currently selling in France for 200 euros which is approximately £160. Other handsets in this price range that are currently available such as the Sony Ericsson K770i do have extra features such as a camera with auto focus and flash and 3G connectivity. Taking this into account it may be wise for Sagem to drop the price to say £100-£120 to be able to compete with these handsets. The my721X will be available in the UK this summer.
