When you look at brochures of Las Vegas, you'll see the prices of different Grand Canyon bus tours. The tour companies have figured out that it's easier for them to offer all-inclusive tours, so a good tour package will include everything you'll need during your trip. Be leery of buying a tour that only provides you with a bus seat. It is a good idea to understand what is usually included in a tour so you can tell what operators are good and which ones you should avoid. Many of the motor coaches will stop at the dam so you can get a good view of it and snap some pictures. However, others may just take the new bypass bridge and not even stop at the dam. Well, the dam is amazing and you can get some spectacular photographs, so make sure you take one of the motor coach excursions that stops at Hoover Dam. If you don't check the itinerary closely, you may end up on a bus that doesn't stop at the dam. If you don't stop, you will only get a glimpse of the massive dam as you drive past it. That's why you want to make sure the tour stops there. Also, since the ride to the South Rim takes a little over five hours, you want to make sure the bus has some comfort stops scheduled. Most bus tours stay at the rim from 2 to 3 hours, so don't accept anything less. The longer your stay, the more you can see, so try to stay as long as you can. When you visit the South Rim, you want plenty of time to visit the Grand Canyon Village, and see Yavapai Point and Mather Point. Some of the highlights at the West Rim are the Indian Cultural Center, Eagle Point, the Grand Canyon Skywalk and Guano Point. Remember to pick a tour package that offers meals. Some tours may not offer any meals at all. Don't book a tour that doesn't include the park's admission fee, either. It isn't very pleasant to shell out more money once you get to your destination just to get in, so make sure the cost is included in your tour.
