Flaunting one's crowning glory becomes easier this festive season with six brand new hairdos designed by celebrity hairstylist and hair expert Priscilla Corner. Taking the staples of different eras into consideration, Corner has designed six different hairdos for this season, namely ‘The Sleek Sophisticated’, ‘The Neo Bohemian’, 'Old Hollywood', 'The Forever Fringe', 'The Embellished Updo' and the 'Sex-kitten Braid'. "There are a host of hairdos that can suit one's facial structure. Try them one at a time. Hairstyles and hair colours are entirely subjective. You can wear it long or short, natural or coloured,” said Fiama Di Wills Hair expert and celebrity hair stylist, Priscilla Corner. From ‘The Sleek Sophisticated’ style that suits both the sporty girl and party-goer alike, to the 'Sex-kitten Braid' that transforms a Plain-Jane to a glamorous girl, the six looks are meant for women who are not afraid to experiment with their hair. "Each of these looks is very stylish as well as easy to do. For example, the fringe suits any face and never goes out of fashion,” said Corner, while unveiling the hairstyles at the Fiama Di Wills ‘Fabulous Hair’ show at the ITC Sonar Bangla Tuesday. Sporting the hairdos while walking the ramp were Bollywood actresses Raima Sen, Rituparna Sengupta and fashion designer Komal Sood. Glam up hair with chic accessories Designer Sannam Chopra, whose collection has been worn by the likes of Vidya Balan, Kangana Ranaut and Shraddha Kapoor, has now launched a new range of uber chic hair accessories targeting city girls who get little time for hair care. To give you that perfect look, Chopra has come up with some of the trendy hair bands inspired by the picturesque mountains and natural habitats. "No matter you have a long or cropped look, a hair accessory always gives an edge to your ensemble. The accessory line is inspired from patterns of mountains, water elements and scenes," she said in a statement. "The pieces would be the underlying structure of the rock garden, which showcases different elements like textured metal, crystals and wood," she added. The designer forayed into accessory designing in 2008 with her label Embellish. Her objective was to introduce an array of jewellery with a modern sensibility and she feels that the her latest collection follows the same theme. "The collection could adorn your lovely tresses and add to your glamour quotient. It's not only a beautiful accessory but also gives you young and feminine touch," she said. The price range of the hair bands starts from Rs.1,500 and the bands are available at the designer's store.
