Wedding receptions seem to run smoothly compared to some of the ceremonies that preceded them. The reality of it is that there are times when things are forgotten, misplaced and not done at all. There is always the possibility that guests will notice if something is missing or not done properly. In the party afterwards, it is possible that the couple might have opted for a different style or program that will make the forgotten things seem to have been part of it. The following are some of the things that might be forgotten during the party. Toasts and Speeches Although, it is usually the best man who does the toast during this time, there are also some times when during wedding receptions that the parents of the bride or the groom might be asked to do so. Event coordinators who are not used to this might forget to pen this into the program and will need to be reminded of this several times. They are, after all, not perfect. The parents might also not be used to giving speeches and toasts so they might forget to say certain crucial things such as thanks for the presence of specific people who made an effort to be present during this special day. It may be a good idea to give the parents a short list of generalized people to thank, et al. suppliers, photographers etc. The list doesn't have to be specific when it comes to the suppliers but when it comes to special guests, names will need to be mentioned. Special Traditions Some soon to be wed couples also have traditions in their families which they might like to do in their wedding receptions. Picture taking or family members and friends are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this aspect of the ceremony and the party afterwards. Some couples understand that a good part of their guests might only make it to the reception which is why the round of taking pictures will continue per table during the reception, usually after the meal and dessert. The couple might do rounds around the hall and have their picture taken per table to include those who were not present in the ceremony. One other thing that the couple might like is to have the well wishing. The wishes will be picked randomly or chosen and screened by someone assigned by the couple or the coordinator. During some wedding receptions, the couple does away with the photographer and rents a photo booth to encourage the guests to be wacky and funny as they have their photos taken. Costumes and other props can be added to the mix for more fun and excitement. Looking for some new ideas for New Jersey wedding receptions?
