As prayer warriors, the first and most important thing we must understand is what Jesus said concerning the parable of the sower in the fourth chapter of Mark. He told us that when we hear or understand this, more shall be given. Revelation from the Father stems on us understanding the parable of the sower. In other words, until we understand this we cannot understand the things He desires us to understand concerning the kingdom of God. The Father does not show us everything that He wants us to see on a matter all at once. Everything grows as a seed. Every answer, every revelation from God, comes as a seed grows, first the blade, then the ear, and then the full corn in the ear. When harvest is come, man puts in the sickle and reaps the harvest. Everything from God has an expected end. When we lay hold on the promises of God, we are laying hold on an expected end. It is impossible for the promises of God not to come to pass in our lives when laid hold upon with faith. We shall not die before our time, when we lay hold upon long life through faith. It is impossible to not enter into the kingdom of God, which is eternal life, when laid hold upon by faith, and entered in through faith. Faith has an expected end, which must be laid hold upon first. It is called hope. A farmer sows in hope. If there were no hope of a harvest, why sow the seed? God said that every thing has a seed within itself to bring forth fruit after its own kind. God did not plant a garden from seed. He made that which bares seed, and planted them to bring forth multiplied seed to be planted again. Jesus told us in the parable of the sower that words are the seeds, which come from the heart of man and produce after their kind. Therefore, take heed what you hear. Words produce either faith or fear. The key verse in the parable of the sower is Mark 4:24, And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. Jesus goes on to say to those who do not continue to hear the word of God, that what they have heard shall be taken from them. God will not take it, but the devil will take it. The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10) In the parable of the sower, Jesus gave 4 types of ground that good seed (the word of God) was sown into. Only those hearts that continued to hear and allowed the seed to mature to full fruit through patience, were blessed with the harvest. In the first type of ground, the wayside, there was no belief that the seed would grow. They do not see the word as their way to higher levels. In the second type, stony ground, there was no root formed for the seed to grow. When times got hard, these quit believing. The third type, thorny ground, did not bring forth full fruit, because other things and desires choked the word, and it became unfruitful. The plant had good root, and even had fruit on the branches, needing a little more growing time, but the world entered and choked the fruit, and it became unfruitful. These, knowing the word is truth, got side tracked and got off the word. So close and yet nothing to eat. This is sad. They had green fruit growing, yet were unable to come to perfection. They even endured persecution and affliction for the word’s sake, all for nothing. In the natural growing process of fruit, the nutrients do not appear until the very last days before harvest. If the fruit is picked green, as most is that is available in super markets, the nutrients are not present to keep the body strong. This green fruit only provides a full belly, with very little nutrition. God does not put the nutrients in the fruit from the beginning. Understand the parable of the sower and understand how God operates in the earth, through the kingdom of God. We must endure unto the end to obtain the promises. Matthew 24:13, But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. This article is an excerpt from my book, Life From On High. Download if Free at fredfishburne.com.
