By A Staff Reporter - MUSCAT More than 10 Italian companies in the industrial sectorwill participate for the first time at InfraOman 2012, theexhibition for infrastructure ongoing from today to Thursday. Among them is Tricolore International llc, the first company basedin Muscat which specialises in importing and distributing forauthentic Made in Italy. The firms, big industries but also small and medium enterprises,will showcase their products with the aim to start or consolidatetrade relations with the Omani market and develop new partnershipin the Sultanate. Some of them are also interested in meeting localagents and distributors or potential business partners for jointventures. The exhibitors will present high quality and specialised Italianproducts suitable for several applications, such as welded wiremesh products (Cavatorta Group spa); crusher buckets for the entirerange of excavators (MB spa); fibreglass pipes for oil andpetrochemical plants and water treatment (Cemis Condotte srl);wooden products (Riggi Legnami srl) and windows, including thedouble gazed ones (Pirrello Infissi srl).
The Italian Pavilion, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy inMuscat, has been organised by i-Gulf Ltd, the first internationalbusiness development agency set with the specific mission toenhance commercial relations between Oman and Italy. "We have beensteadily operating in Muscat for more than two years, promotingseveral trade delegations, in co-operation with the main ItalianChambers of Commerce and the entrepreneurial organisations. Forthis specific initiative we have on our side ConfcommercioLombardia, Confindustria Salerno and Pmi Sicilia," says CarloD'Andrea, Director of i-Gulf Ltd. I-Gulf is committed to stimulate the interest of the Italianentrepreneurs for Oman as a successful business and investmentdestination and points to open a direct access way to the Italianproducts and expertise.
