The Indigo air is sufficiently positioned Low Cost brand of India. Indigo Air is a private Airline which has started its operations of flying the flights in the year 2006, from August. The major emphasis of the Airlines initially is to capture the domestic routes of the Indian Sub Continent by offering the people of India the best of the Airlines Services at a much reasonable cost. The fares of the other established Airlines of India were reasonably on the higher side ad was beyond the budget of the normal public to afford. Keeping this in mind, Indigo Air started its low cost flights to all the major destinations of India. Recently the Airlines have acquired the license to go International after successfully completing the domestic flying for five good years. Now Indigo Air also carries the International flights to various destinations abroad. From November 2011, the Indigo Status shows flights to 26 Indian destinations and 5 International destinations covering the major cities of the world. All the relevant Information of the flights with their timings and the halting Airports can be gathered by going through the Indigo Status. The website of the Indigo Air gives the complete Indigo Status. The bookings for the Indigo Air flights become easier once the Indigo Status is known to the customer. The fleet of Aircrafts used by the Airlines is the Airbus A320-200 which has got the capacity of 180 passengers at one time.the routes served by the Indigo Air within India comprise of Dibrugarh, Guwahti, Imphal, Agartala, in North East India, Srinagar, Jammu, Delhi, Jaipur , lucknow, Ahemdabad, Vadodra, Indore, Patna, Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Kochi, Trivanantpuram and Chennai. The Aircraft does not have the distinction of the executive or the economy class and is free from the fancy Interiors. However, the interiors of the Aircraft are pleasing with comfortable seats. The meals on the flight are not complimentary. The passengers can buy the meals in flight by paying the charges for the meals taken by them. The maximum baggage limit in the flight is stated 20 kg per passenger including the children above the age of two years. Indigo Air is a prestigious Airlines of India and has awarded with the honors and recognitions as the best LCC by the Airlines Passengers Associations of India in the year 2007. The best LCC awarded by Galileo Express Travel Award in the year 2008 and the most renowned CNBC Awaaz Travel Award as the best low cost Airlines in the year 2009.
