Brigade Road, located at the intersection of Residency Road and MG Road, is among the best places for shopping in Bangalore. The street has innumerable shops and retail outlet of global brands besides some standalone shops. The tourists can also find restaurants, hotels, banks, pubs, discotheques and clubs along the street. This Road can be accessed easily via bus, auto or car from MG Road and Hosur Road. It is also a connecting road between the M G Road and Residency Road in the city. Notable among the tourist attractions along the Brigade Road are St Patrick's Church, Patrick’s Shopping Complex, Eva Mall and Catholic Club. Other places frequented by the travellers are Vellara Hotel, Toy Store and Brigade Towers. Besides being one of the biggest commercial centres, it has also been a New Year celebration hub in the city for many years. The Brigade Road is in three sections. The first section from MG Road where the metro station is going to be located till the Residency Road junction is what is popularly considered as Brigade Road. Shops, pubs, cinemas and restaurants are located in this stretch. The Church Street and the Rest House Road have more shops and pubs with Church Street becoming a food street. One can find any brand and cuisine on this stretch of the road. It is packed with shoppers and revellers but the density of the crowd depends on the time. The next stretch is from Residency Road to Shoolay Circle. Castle Street and Museum Road connect at this junction. St Patrick's church, Patricks shopping complex, St Joseph's Commerce College, Eva Mall and Catholic Club are on this stretch. It is not as crowded or as popular as the first stretch. But large shops and many restaurants are on this stretch. Some buses leave from the beginning of this junction. Markham Road leads to Garuda Mall from this stretch. Between Shoolay Circle and Richmond Road is the third stretch. This stretch does not have many shops. All Saints Super Market, Vellara hotel, Brigade Towers and Magic Threads are located near here. Many hotels are situated in or in the neighbourhood of Brigade Road. Some of them are Ruppis Resorts, Login Service Apartment, Hotel Sabharwal Viceroy, 18 Wonders Inn, Highgates, The Monarch, The Ocea International, Fortune Park, JP Celestial and Brunton Aster. Several restaurants, which are hot destinations of the travellers, are situated on this popular road. Among them are Plan B, Olive Beach, Nando’s, Pind Balluchi, Mattoo Coffee, Hae Kum Gang, The Chocolate Room, Café Masala, Indian Coffee House, Subway, Parbrai’s Fresh and Naturalle, Queen’s Restaurant, Pecos, Guzzlers Inn, Mr. Soup and Mrs. Salad, Oxygen, The Cream & Fudge Factory, McDonald’s, Aromas of China, and Vaayus Sky Lounge.
