The enclave of Hazrath Nizamuddin lies in the heart of New Delhi. It is named after The Sufi Saint nizamuddin Auliya. It is in medieval village or Basti. It is home to several Mughal era tombs and monuments. The principal attraction in Nizamuddin Basti is the Durga of Harath Nizamuddin. It is an important site for pilgrims too. The Durga holds the significant cultural heritage of spirituality and Sufi philosophy. It is defined poetically in the vernacular poetry of Amir Khusrao and Qawwali performances. To maintain the Sufi tradition this system is followed and millions of people visit here annually. Now developments are going on to improve and increase space of the Basti. He was a famous Sufi of Chishti order in the Indian subcontinent. The order was that to make close to God by renunciation of the world and service of humanity. His love of God was service to Humanity. Hs vision of world was secularity and Kindness. He predecessors were Farduddin Ganjshakar, Bakthiyar Kaaki and Moinudden chishti. There is a spiritual chain or silsila of Chishties in that order. His key beliefs was that to have compete trust in God, the unity of mankind, helping the needy, feeding hungry and being sympathetic, strong disapproval of Sultans, Princes and nobles, making close contacts with poor, adopting uncompromised attitude towards political issues and a bold stance in Sema. Near to Hazrath Nizamuddin Durga there are Shrines, Mausoleum, step well are there. Rehabilitation of civic places, improved amenities, and infrastructure like streets, parks and public toilets provides healthy living there. It is socio economically fit environment. Great educational facilities are enabled here for women and youth especially. Vocational training facilities are also provided. These developments are done to integrate conservation, socio economic development, urban and environmental developmental activities in consultation with local community. They are designed on the basis of demands of residents, expected outcomes, budget estimates, and source of fund. These plans are discussed in local communities, MCD functionaries, and meetings of constituted Project Committee. These are on the basis of Hazrath Nizamuddin Basti Project plans. Hazrath Nizamuddin railway station is famous among five other railway stations in Delhi. This is coded as NZM. They are connected to all cities and it is made to reduce congestion in New Delhi railway station. It is managed by northern railway zone. It is adjacent to Ring Road and Mathura Road. Shaan e Bhopal express, Gondwana express are some of the connective trains. Nearest metro station is jangpura Lajpat Nagar. Nearest bus terminal is ISBT Sarai Kale Khan. Nearest airport is Delhi international airport, it is located at a distance of 28 kms from Hazrath Nizamuddin Durga. One can hire taxi or get into metro to reach.
