The 2010 Mitsubishi Galant is the ninth generation of this particular line of vehicles from this famous automaker. Due to the success of the line, there has been a lot of improvements and changes for the vehicle, hence the high number of generations. It has been successfully marketed as a luxury car, initially but now it is marketed as a car that a lot of people can get. The manufacturer of this automobile used the French word gallant (meaning chivalrous) for the initial introduction to the market. Initially marketed as a compact car, it has since changed to a mid-sized sedan that is affordable and chock full of different features. The latest generation of the Mitsubishi Galant was introduced in the market in the year 2003. This is a testament to how popular the vehicle is because it has not changed much since this year. Changes to the model are just slight and occurred in the years 2006, 2007 and 2009. These changes were called facelifts because it is usually just the exterior and sometimes the interior appearance that experienced the changes. Safety The safety features of the automobile starts in the drivetrain and the other systems that contribute to its performance. Electronic stability control coupled with the four wheel ABS feature has practically guaranteed the best possible stability and control a driver might have over this machine. The onboard computer instinctively knows which of the four wheels need the most support and traction and distributes the necessary power to it. This is important because it can help prevent accidents and collisions that may otherwise be fatal for the driver and passengers of the vehicle. Airbags are abundant for the 2010 Mitsubishi Galant, namely found in the front driver and passenger sides, side airbags and airbag for the head. The auto brand also included a tire monitoring system that warns the driver if the pressure is perilously low or needs checking. Even kids were considered when the new version came out because the engineers made the anchorage of the car seat much lower than the previous models. This means more stability for whichever the model or brand of the car seat. The automobile also has daytime running lights to ensure that it is highly visible in any weather condition. The seat belts in the front are equipped with adjustable levels to help make the belts fit better. The energy management feature also makes sure that the carbon impact of the car is minimal in the energy aspect. Another thing that may appeal to the people is the fuel consumption of the Mitsubishi Galant that is 21 mpg for city driving and 30 mpg for the highway. It also has a multi-point fuel injection system that makes it quite efficient. It has 160 horsepower available for the driver but this does not need to be used since safety is always the main goal when driving.
