The growing demand of banking sector has made this area the most preferred destination for employment. Banking jobs especially the probationary officer has emerged as one of the sector which every second individual desires for. But, to get into this sector is not an easy job. Though it is one of the most sorted careers, but yes to qualify this examination it requires persistence and hard work. Moreover, IBPS is regarded as the gateway to the management cadre of the banking sector.

1 It is extremely important for the candidate to know the pattern of the examination. There are four sections in the paper that is mathematics, reasoning ability, English and general awareness. It goes without saying that it is mandatory for the candidate to qualify all the sections of the paper in order to clear the cut off. Candidates selected for the written test are called for group discussion or the interview.
2 The next question arises how to prepare for the examination. Candidates preparing for these competitive examinations are expected to have a good knowledge of Mathematics up to class 10th. Therefore, it is extremely important for the candidate to focus on the basics and also on the pattern of class 10th. Reasoning ability needs to be extensively taken care of and regular practice is needed to clear the sectional cut- off. Adding on, it is indispensable for the candidate to work upon the English section and strong vocabulary which comes in the form of comprehension, fill-in-the-blanks, antonyms, synonyms etc. General Awareness section cannot be ignored and can be prepared by cultivating a habit of attentively reading a national newspaper daily or following any particular magazine.
3 Another significant factor which cannot be ignored in Time Management. Hard work ,determination, time management all these factors are extremely essential for clearing - level test for the Bank PO Exam. Besides being able to strategy time, it is important to focus on the subjects which seem easier to the candidate. All these factors are important while appearing for IBPS, SCC or any other competitive examination. But when it comes to UPSC, it requires a different strategy because the examination is mainly subjective. Examinations for the year 2013 will be conducted and IBPS result and SSC result will be declared on the dates decided by the panel.
