"Do-able" diet modification The biggest factor in being able to lose weight is modifying what you eat every day.You can workout alot, drink plenty of water, even take diet suppliments daily. You will not see much results from those methods if you are consuming large amounts of fat and calories. Making slow but permanet eating habit modifications is best. Eat leaner, healthier food regularly. Allow yourself a snack reward every once in a while. Avoid keeping junk food in your house. If you need a snack, take a trip to the store instead of having it so easily available. Beside, you will benefit from the nutritional value of the healthier food your are eating. Incorporate more activity in your daily lifestyle When first starting out on your weight loss journey, take it slow. The heavier you are, the lighter you'll want to start out. If you try to take on too much too soon, you'll end up quiting before you begin to experience results. Begin to incorporatel more activity in your everyday lifestyle. Walk more, take the stairs instead of the elevator, play with your kids more. Then after you've built up some strength and confidence in your abilities, take it to the next level. Do a workout routine a few times a week. Get your heart rate elevated for about 15 minutes. When your comfotable with that, go the next step and so forth. This will not only speed up your weight loss, but will also strengthen your body and help your heart. Don't be a scale watcher Remember weight loss happens at a realistic rate, it does'nt happen overnight. Don't try to mesure results on a daily basis. It's a waste of time. Initially, you will gain some water weight and muscle mass. The weight that you have lost will pobably not show up on the scale right away. If I were trying to lose weight, I would go by what I look like in the mirror or how my clothes are fitting. I would probably do a weigh in on a scale about once a month. After all your doing this for health reasons and how you look, not for a number of your weight in mass. Be Consistant Starting out slow and building up is ideal. These are life- long lifestyle habit changes. Don't give up just becuase you don't see results right away. Consistancy is key. Set goals that are realistic for you. If you do hapen to give up for a little while, don't beat your self down mentally. Just get right back on the horse. results are guaranteed if you just stick with it.
