The qualifying exams for ACCA membership is nothing short of difficult. To become a fully-pledged member of the world's most renowned accounting body, one must take at least 5 of 14 examinations that will test their knowledge of fundamental and professional accounting practices. Applicants have the freedom to choose when they want to take the exam, as exams are held twice a year and they can be taken anytime within 10 years. The classes cover knowledge and skills module for the Fundamental (F) level, and essential and optional modules for the Professional (P) level. To get an idea how classes are usually held, a structure of the timetable will be discussed below: Structure of Modules ACCA class schedules are designed to help students pass the necessary modules. The modules and examinations are divided into two parts, the Fundamentals Level which has 9 papers, and the Professional Level which has 5 papers. Those who have accomplished the examinations' Fundamentals Level Knowledge and Skills module will be granted the B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting once the Oxford Brookes University in UK has graded and assessed the applicant's Research and Analysis Project. Part Time ACCA Class Part time classes are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday, and each class is 3 hours long. The duration of part time review classes is usually 20 weeks long with a 1 to 2-week break before the ACCA examination proper. The classes begin on the first week of July and they usually end on the second or third week of November. Throughout the 20 weeks, progress tests and mock exams will be given to gauge the applicant's overall preparedness for the upcoming ACCA exams. Full Time ACCA Class Full-time ACCA classes also run for 20 weeks, and the Professional Level modules are held four times every week. The Fundamentals Level modules are held thrice of four times a week, but they have more free time than those who are taking the Professional Level modules. The free day will depend on the set of modules you are taking. Notes on ACCA Class Schedules Before you can take the ACCA examinations, it is worth noting that a three-year work experience is required. This will ensure that you are well-prepared for the written and practical challenges that ACCA has designed for all its prospective applicants. In addition, an applicant must also be able to accomplish 13 performance objectives (which is made up of 9 "essentials" and 4 "options).
