Researchers also chose a total of 726 women, who had only developed an estrogen-receptor-positive (ER positive) primary breast cancer and survived it successfully. • Women, who are considered as obese and having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of more than 30 kilogram per meter square, are more prone to develop a second breast cancer than their counterparts having a Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 25 kilogram per meter square, and the chance is almost 50 percent higher.
• Those who consume more or less 7 glasses of alcohol a week after surviving a primary breast cancer are 70 percent more likely to develop a second breast cancer than those who do not drink at all.
